Neither have I up until now
It’s most likely behaving how it’s configured.
The goal of dBPoweramp is to create a perfect rip. It will skip tracks if it is unable to get a perfect rip.
When dBPoweramp is unable to rip a track without error on the first pass, typically it will try to do a secure rip. This can take a very long time and it can hard on the CD mechanism. For that reason, there’s a setting that determines how hard it has to work at this before giving up.
When dbPoweramp can’t get a perfect rip, the cause of this is a damaged or dirty CD. Be sure to clean the bottom well without scratching. If it still can’t be ripped, replace the CD. Or if you don’t care if the rip is perfect, adjust the settings so it dBPoweramp will give you what it can regardless. I don’t recommend that.
Actually there is one other option. Some CDs can be repaired by polishing the bottom with a product like Novus plastic polish. This can be purchased in a 3 pack with a 3) heavy scratch remover, 2) fine scratch remover and a 1) polish. I have recovered a few CDs with 2 followed by 1.
Thanks, I used secure rip. it appeared to rip Ok just won’t transfer to server. both cds brand new
Sorry I should have read more closely. Transfer to server issues are caused either by insufficient disk space or a lock placed on the file by the operating system. If there’s enough space, reboot both your Antipodes and the computer you are copying from to clear the lock.
Thanks again Ken, I have managed to get one done after rebooting. Will try the other one now. Would be a lot easier to rip direct to K50.
How do I change the name of albums / songs imported as “Unknown Album”?
You will need to use a program on your computer that enables tagging, such as Tag n Rename, SongKong, MP3Tag, MusicBrainz etc
Thanks
Don’t have them, so 1Bzf34RN it stays
