Use of SSD in K50

Hi, I’m aRookie in using K50. Grateful if anyone would give me detailed guidelines I setting up K50.

Is it required to format the SSD before inserting K50 or K50 has function to format SSD direct ?

Is K50 able to read MacOS files directly or I need to format the SSD to Exfat/ fat32?

Taking advice from this forum, I would like to purchase Samsung SSD PM983. I would like to ask if any SSD SATA 2.5” is compatible?
