It is unfortunate but whilst K50 and other owners have been offered very attractively priced upgrades (which will do nothing other than engender customer loyalty), Oladra owners are struggling to come to terms with the upgrade work done for their $4k compared to say what Gen2 K50 owners are getting for their $4k.
The Oladra upgrade is the only one which does not require it to be returned to Antipodes, presumably because the work carried out is not as extensive as the other upgrades and yet the price charged is the same in many cases. This does not sit right with wanting to keep existing Oladra owners on board. After all, it is they who have probably funded much of the R & D work which has culminated in these across the board upgrades.
I still hope that Antipodes will reconsider the cost of upgrade to existing Oladra owners. Merely tagging it to the difference in retail price of the Gen1 and Gen2 Oladras completely misses the point. For all I know that price increase might be largely due to unavoidable price rises in labour, materials and bought in components.
