I’m a reference DD + DAC user and Cascade definitely have better Digital Director which would re-clock / buffer all incoming signal.
If you’re using Oladra G4 then the output doesn’t matter that much as all signals are re-clocked before entering Cascade DD and DD will get the signals re-clocked again before sending it into Cascade DAC.
For now I’m settled with I2S and I’m very happy but you will need to test with your ears!
