Is there a sequence / order for powering these units?
Do I power server first(S40), then player, as I believe this was the order with the CX /EX Combo?.

Yes, that would be the way to go.
FYI, We recommend leaving your Antipodes on at all times, they use little to no power without load, and they will be ready for use immediately and up to operating temperature.
