Antipodes Server MSB Pro-ISL interface

No timeline at this stage. Is still something we wish to add to our devices.
All our resources are currently focused on software development.

Hi Mark, is this wish item permanently suspended? I have MSB and Antipodes combo for more than 2 years. I am still waiting for Oladra to release ProISL connection.

Most major competitors of Antipodes (Aurender, Innuos, Taiko) have released such connection already. We would like to keep supporting Antipodes but we are running out of patient.

No, not suspended, or forgotten, just have other projects that have taken priority.

Hi Mark,

I am currently evaluating an MSB Premier and have convinced myself to buy the Reference with the Digital Director. Are you convinced the I2S output from my Kala K50 to the Ref/DD I2S is the way to go? Sound great, easy to configure, stable?

Thanks

Craig

Hi there, Craig, only you can be the judge of I2S vs USB sound quality in your room, your ears etc etc.
Both connections can sound fantastic.
We use I2S here to our Reference (no Digital Director), as do Marten loudspeakers when they do their demos with MSB Cascade.

Below is the post for configuration:

Mark,

Neophyte questions…

Is a connection between the K50 Clock BNC to the MSB I2S module viable? One clocking the other?

With the I2S connection, where is the signal being clocked - in the DAC or in the K50?

TIA

Craig

Nope, not required…

By providing dedicated clock lines Bit Clock, Word Select and Master Clock, I2S allows the DAC to receive precise timing, improving fidelity, especially with high-resolution audio, and simplifying receiver design compared to asynchronous systems.
