Cd ripper not working again?

Have a k41. Happily ripping CDs yesterday. Then repeating issue with the metadata server again. Can’t access it.
Anyone else have this issue ?

Yes, I have brand new K41, with same issue. Beginning to think I should have bought Innuos

Seems to be a recurring issue. Just wish the root cause could be identified and resolved once and for all. I use the rip function most weeks as I am a luddite and want to own a physical copy

Looks like the metadata problem again! As to whether it’s Antipodes or the metadata supplier, is anyone’s guess

Or maybe have a backup plan where one can use their computer to rip CDs while waiting for this service to come back on line. The supplier would have to resolve it and it seems it hasn’t been a priority for them. It’s usually resolved in a few days though. Funny how it always seems to stop working as we head into a weekend.

Yes. Started yesterday. Very frustrating. Just tried again this morning and same error.

We are aware, this is maintained by a third party and sadly is down again, we are in communications, however are at the whim of the provider

Hi,
I wanted to modify the server so that it could connect to Musicbrainz to tag tracks and no longer be blocked. I’m blocked because I don’t have the password. I tried the classic antipodes passwords. myantipodes, root, linux,
Furthermore, I would like to configure the rip to WAV, but I don’t have access with this version of the software.

Thanks a lot
Fabrice

None of those options are possible sorry.

That is MusicBrainz and WAV ripping are not available on Antipodes Audio music servers.

Thanks,
How is it possible to have the temperature indicated ?
Thanks

I “ripped” 20 CDs the other day.
Didn’t check on them as I went, turned out 10 were successfully ripped, then the last 10 just ejected after some time spinngin- no metadata, no rip…

Up and ripping again today

yay.

Thanks for letting us know

Same issue here. I’ve ripped 20 cds and files are not present in the music folder.

There seems to be a repeating issue with the integration with the third party supplier of metadata. I have stopped using the AMS ripping service as it’s just too unreliable. Pity - when it works - it’s great and encodes directly to my music storage drive in my K41. I have reverted to XLD and manually moving files around. More faff - but works.

Hi,

I have been trying to rip some CDs successfully at first on a K41 with Asus drive, and then it struggled with one album. It seems like it cannot do anything afterwards, goes through the motions, but the album doesn’t change, and no artwork or files appear.

Is there any way of resetting it, as I thought it might just be the strange fonts and superscript in the title?

Many Thanks In Advance

Stuart

@MarkCole

I understand you’ve already responded to this topic several times, but I’d like an honest answer to the question below.

What is the realistic chance that the ripping function on the Antipodes server will work consistently and stably again within a few months? I have a K41 and a P1 ripper platform, but if these problems persist, I’ll buy a Melco ripper, because in addition to the K41, I also have a Melco N1-S38 in my audio system. I don’t want to rip via the computer.

Kind regards,

Unfortunately, it seems highly unlikely that the ripping solution will be rectified under the current AMS solution.

Using your P1 on your computer will give you fantastic results.

Does this mean I probably won’t be able to rip on my Antipodes CX anymore?

Under the current AMS implementation YES.
You use your computer to rip the internal drive of your Antipodes
