Dante - widening usage in home audio

@MarkCole I thought I would create this thread.

With the emergence of consumer audio / hi-fi starting to rollout Dante in their products will Antipodes consider including Dante in a future release of AMS ?

Kii Audio’s Kii Seven speakers and Naim’s CI series are two products I am aware of that are enabled to handle Dante streams.

Admittedly these are products that also cater for professional markets (Studio-Kii, Custom installation / commercial - Naim CI) and I have considered both for my home environment.

Why ? Support of mutiroom audio environments without relaying on roon or manufactur-specific protocols
Emergin into the main stream and would enable Antipodes to be a first-mover in the audio server market
Dante is antipodean (Audinate are in Sydney - )

Short answer NO.

To do it properly would involve the inclusion of hardware, not something we are looking at doing right now.
If you wanted to get an Antipodes into a Dante Network, you could use a Dante AVIO USB adapter, no Dante software required on the server, and utilize any Antipodes included software for playback.

Note, we haven’t tested this device.

Thank you, including for the link to the audinate adaptor which could be of genuine use to me in the future.
