Do Antipodes absolutely need internet access?

Hello friends,

I bought Antipodes EX for the purpose of playback from the internal hdd.
I’m trying to get it working, but I can’t. The chain is EX - router - laptop or smartphone.
I tried everything possible, I also used the MyAntipodes app to search EX in network, to no avail.
At the moment, I have come to the conclusion that Antipodes needs constant access to the Internet.
I don’t have internet at home, only mobile data on my phone.
I wanted to ask, please, do you think that Antipodes need a connection to ethernet to operate, set up, control?
Is a home computer network not enough?

Thanks to everyone who would share their experience.

Best regards
Jan

Yes, the EX requires internet access to be setup initially

Hello,

I used a ‘usb-c gigabit ethernet adapter’ to connect the mobile phone to the router.
This is how I got internet to the EX. And configured EX as Sqeeze Player and Sqeeze Server.
Selecting and playing files using the Sqeeze Orange mobile application works without any problems, the network does not require an Internet connection.
Over time, I will strive for a more detailed understanding of how EX works, the meaning of the setting.
Ex plays excellently, I get the feeling of a very solid product.

Best regards
