I have been having a lot of fun with the plugin “Squeeze DSP (v0.1.61)”. It has allowed me to do some headphone and iem tweaking. It also allows you to enter your own convolution files or select from the AutoEQ site. One caveat for PGGB users… no DSD or files above 400k. The developer is working on lifting the 400k limitation. DSD users have used a plugin to convert DSD to pcm before the DSP but I doubt PGGB DSD users would do that.
On which device does the processing occur, server or player?
My understanding it is on the server. The Lyrion dedicated forum may have more detail. The author is very active there. Any dsp I have done on Lyrion definitely sounds better than the results of Muse on roon.
I suspect that’s the case. I asked only so I could advise caution on having anything additional run on the player. Doing so would harm sound quality and even cause heat issues. Always a good idea to check the CPU meters on the AMS dashboard.
