Just wondered if anybody has any experience with this dac and if it would be good fit with my K 30.
Fascinating question. I must admit that in all my years of owning high end music servers, I never wondered about how it might fit synergy-wise.
Interesting to consider this in light of what Christiaan Punter has written about in his many reviews of music servers. Each seems to have a particular set of strengths that might appeal to one user more than others. As I recall though, the strengths seemed to be present regardless of the DAC. So maybe it’s more about whether the K30 is the best fit for your ears regardless of the DAC.
Fit can mean more than just the sound signature, of course. If, for example, a DAC has a subpar USB implementation, the K30 wouldn’t be a good fit because it only supports USB. But if one felt that the K30 fit them well, easy enough to add a high quality DDC.
Curious what others think about the “fit” question.
