I have a DX1 that was upgraded to a DX2. It spent a few years in storage so software is very old. When I try to connect to myantipodes the server is not seen by the network. Is there a solution to make the unit viable and perform an upgrade to the software.
Are you using myantipodes.com ?
Is it seen in the router or via a LAN scan? Does the unit have flashing Ethernet lights on the rear?
Yes I’m using myantipodes.com. The unit is on with flashing lights for a good connection to the internet. The unit does not appear on my network.
To rule out the network, ensure that the remote computer is plugged into the same switch as the server via Ethernet.
Take this a step further by removing all network switches/Mesh, etc, and connect to the router switch with the remote computer and server connected via Ethernet.
If you still cannot find it in the router IP tables or by LanScan with the unit connected to the router with a computer also connected by ethernet to same, you can book a remote support session here:
or and RMA for service here:
By connecting both the antipodes and laptop to the primary mesh node, i was able to access the antipodes and update the software.
I was unable to connect to the antipodes with my iPad using myantipodes but was able to connect using the antipodes subnet address.
Neither roon nor ipeng app can find the server.
The Antipodes is operational.
You do not want subnets in your network, the Mesh system would be best set up as an Access Point or dis-abling DHCP on the Mesh
I was confused earlier I said subnet when I meant IP address.
My home internet is fiber to an ONT that connects to a tp link deco mesh. Because the primary mesh node acts as the router it cannot be put into access point mode.
I have given the antipodes a static ip address but this has not helped. I have connected the antipodes using Ethernet to the mesh node nearest to it, to the primary mesh node where the fiber enters the home, and via the primary mesh node to an unmanaged to the cat 5 that goes through the wall to an Ethernet connection near the antipodes the Ethernet to the antipodes. None of this has worked.
By using the antipodes ip address I was able to access the antipodes hard drive and copied the directory to my iPad, but was unable to play any of the files. Myantipodes continues to tell me there is no antipodes connected to my network.
I can see both the iPad and the antipodes as clients on the tp link deco app.
At this point I think I should schedule a support session.
