How to play DSD via squeeze/squeeze via direct stream?

Tried searching on the forum / web with no luck.

Since I’m using my MSB Digital Director as player now, the connection is as follow:

Oladra G4 (squeeze/squeeze (audio output:none) → RJ45 → MSB DD (Renderer V2 which supports up to 4xDSD) → MSB DAC → Amp → Speaker

I disabled C3PO/enabled the 2 UPnP plugins/installed DSDplayer.

Under the player setting the DSD player shows the following status message

Did I miss anything here or it’s just the limitation of squeeze to play DSD via RJ45? My thought is that this playback method is somehow under uPnP so the cause might be the related to the plugin but I’m not so sure haha. I can always use USB but just want to explore other digital outputs.

The MSB Renderer is a UPnP or Roon Ready endpoint.

Those DSD settings in “Player” for Squeeze aren’t of any use as they will not be used as you are using the Server, and the UPnP plugin only, Squeezelite is not used as you are moving the “Player” out of the server and into the DAC.

If you don’t have Roon, try enabling MinimServer for UPnP

You shouldn’t need to do anything for DSD playback in Squeeze as it is all pre setup.
