I know how you feel but if you prefer looks over SQ, there are at least 2 contenders. Or take a break watching your music.

I agree the JPlay App is very good, approaching Roon & certainly leaps ahead of Squeeze which I canât get along with as it freezes so much for some reason .
My Squeeze freezes too, I have to restart the server. Not impressed!

What do I have to do to fix it?
Iâm not sure if I have mentioned before it but I am using JPLAY for iOS with Squeeze and Squeezelite. All one needs to do is ensure that the uPnP/Media Interface plugin is enabled.

Hi Nick, appreciate your reply as I tried Ipeng App 3 times on IOS and my playlist , tracks wouldnât load despite numerous attempts . Do you have any issues also using Ipeng ? Have to say the JPlay App is very good especially for finding new music to listen to like Roon. looking forward to the new software update on Antipodes, AMS 5 plus latest Roon updates have definitely improved the SQ noticeably.
@Martin I admit that with Squeeze +Squeezelite I use all of iPeng, Material Skin and JPLAY for iOS as each has their uses for what I need. For instance JPLAY for iOS does not have the facility to work with the BBC Sounds app and I use that quite a bit to access the BBC back catalogue of music and speech programmes.
But to answer your question, no I do not have any issues using iPeng with Squeeze + Squeezelite. Do check though that iPeng is showing the correct combination of server and player on your network because iPeng will pick up all servers and players on your network, including your iphone or ipad and I have noticed sometimes that it has self selected my ipad as the player.
I will try Ipeng again and check the settings as Iâm not too familiar as you mentioned, also my post reference JPlay was not using Squeeze but MDP plus Minimserver which sounded very good but maybe a little thin although transparency was very good. Will try Squeeze plus Squeezelite today for comparison .

Sounds very good with MPD although you mentioned a little smeared in another post.
Also tried just using Antipodes home page and pressing play on Squeeze which also sounds very good.
You definitely have a point about it sounding better than Roon
Hi Paul, I added the plug in which then mentioned server needs to restart, waited a few minutes however no joy. On JPlay shows plug in however I canât get it to play? It says tracks are being added with a green bar at the top of the App
Sorry, I cannot help you. Mine was only an attempt to visualize @NickBaconâs post for using JPLAY for iOS with Squeeze and Squeezelite. The player and server settings are not easy to find. It shouldnât deprive users of making Squeeze more user-friendly through JPLAY. Unfortunately this only seems step 1

That last step should make your K50 appear under both audio output/players and libraries in JPLAY? However, I canât see mine in either category.
I only do see Antipodes.DLNA under libraries.
Apparently Squeeze/Squeeze doesnât work with JPlay only MPD, however didnât realise I could use the Squeeze on the Antipodes App which sounds amazing , very organic and transparent plus App is ok

But two different ways, one working one not finally? Maybe users mix either way up in reporting their excellent results? Or could it still be that both are working but not in every setup?
I am not in front of my home network for the next days, so I wonder how to know you are using the âAntipodes appâ + Squeeze? I suppose you are referring to the LMS player?
If something else, look forward to try when back.
Hi Paul - only found it by accident when trying to get JPlay to work, simply press play on Antipodes dash board along with switching Squeeze plus Squeeze . Although itâs clearly not Roon which I love for music discovery like most people the sound really is as many comment incredible, almost as if itâs been cleaned up, also like the fact I can play my WAV imported files which canât do on JPlay albeit otherwise is a great App.
Squeeze MDP with JPlay sounds very good just not as crisp as Sqeeze.
Does anybody happen to know if the Squeeze App on Antipodes have regular updates like most & if so where is this done? Assume in the player settings?
Otherwise really appreciate the advice on using Squeeze as it really has taken my system up another.

Squeeze to squeeze is what people have been using (forever) and I presume is still what Antipodes recommends as the best until today.
It took you a detour to get there I guessâŚthe advantage and disadvantage of having so many possibilities.
When there are Squeeze updates it will go through AMS updates, nothing to do there. Rest assured Antipodes will keep an eye to get the best of it.
