On the K series servers, do the SSDs just get pushed into the connector without any other support or fastening? The SSDs just rest on the edge of the slot opening
and can move / vibrate freely.
With all the attention spent on vibration control, isolation, even choice of damping material used for the feet, would there be benefits to mount the SSDs a bit more solidly?
It appears to only be secured at the back, but I don’t think it just the connector because a tool has to be used to pull the drive because of how snugly it is held.
The interior photos one can find online suggest that the drive bays are visible with the top removed. Maybe see if you can find a good photo or pop your lid.
