K22 as Squeeze Player on Roon Server no Native DSD option

Hello all, I have a K22 switched from Roon only to “Squeeze with Roon Server” (i have a nucleus one). I do see the K22 as a squeeze player but when i enable it, there is no option to select Native DSD, and the output is limited to 192khz (should be 384khz.) For roon ready the correct parameters were available but not as a squeeze player.

I have the K22 connected to a Mola Mola Tambaqui via USB. I have Native DSD selected in the Antipodes dashboard, ive rebooted both the k22 and roon server.

Thanks for any advice,
John

Disregard, found this similar issue in the squeeze forum and seems native DSD is unsupported which is too bad becuase i have a number of DSD files id like to play (some are DSD 128)

They play with Squeeze just fine

Yes of course. However, this configuration does put a limitation against the capabilities of my DAC. I’d probably be fine with the DoP containerization but the software downsampling of DSD 128 due to the 192khz PCM limitation is something I’m a little less thrilled about. Comes with the territory of treating this hobby as part art and part science.

I am going to try the K22 in a squeeze server\player config next. I know this is not expected to produce the best results with a single box but I am really curious on the usability aspects as I have never used it without Roon.

Sounds like expectation bias. :slightly_smiling_face: Once you overcome the less friendly user UI of Roon, I think you may in for a nice surprise. Make sure you activate the DSD plug-in. Let us know what you think.
