K41/22 Combo DSD File Playback Conversion to PCM

Hello,

New Antipodes user. I’m taking delivery this week of the K41 & K22. The K22 will be feeding my Aries Cerat Helene DAC via USB. The Helene DAC cannot process native DSD files or over DoP.

Is it best to have the K22 do the conversion DSD to PCM or should I take my DSD library and convert it to PCM. I see this can be done with a program such as DBpoweramp but its recommended to only convert the DSD to 96Khz due to some high freq filtering needed.

The easiest way to handle this is to set the DSD Handling in the Player (K22) to NONE.

I would recommend using the Free/Lite edition of PGGB to convert them to 8FS PCM at 24 bits. This will improve their sound quality. See this for more information.
