Latest Windows update broke access to my K50 shares

Hi all, I have been running my G4 K50 without any issue until yesterday. However after I installed the latest mandatory update to Windows 11 (24H2) and rebooted, my two K50 network shares (//K50SERVER and //K50PLAYER) are visible but I can no longer connect to them. When I try to connect it just gives me an error message “Windows cannot access //K50PLAYER or SERVER”

Even when I try to connect to my mapped folder from these shares it asks me for a username password which it never did before. I tried admin/admin and admin/password and they didn’t work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Ok I got it sorted out, as I suspected Miscrosoft changed some settings on the SMB signing in side with this update. After some online searches I found an article that fixed it for me, so I’ll share it here in case someone else runs into this issue:

Thanks for the information. I applied point 7 and everything works!
