Network Acoustics Origin Power Supply

Just curious if any members have taken the plunge with the Network Acoustics Origin PSU and what your experience with it is.

I’m toying with the idea if getting one, putting it on my Tempus Switch and moving the Tempus PSU to my modem/router.

The voltage and power needed are all compatible with each other (confirms by an email with NA).

fyi, Network Acoustics are releasing new products in April.

From their newsletter:

We are busily preparing for our first launch of the year with four new networking products joining our reference Muon2 range.

These are the Muon2 Ethernet Switch, Ethernet Filter, Streaming Cable, and Streaming System.

These products will be unveiled at the AXPONA show in Chicago this April, but please keep an eye out on our social channels and future newsletters where we’ll be sharing more information as the launch approaches.

Yes I did see that.

I’m still keen on the Origin as I’ve got Muon Pro Ethernet Cables and filter on just about every in/out incl. the Muon USB cable and the Tempus Switch.

I’m not sure of pricing, but I’d say it’s either just above or well above what I have now and I’m VERY happy with what I have now.

So budget wise I’m at Origin price point.

That and the usual possibility of mismatching cables or filters i.e. a much better cable here and the whole system can be out of balance or a choke point etc. Or what I have isn’t good enough to show the difference……

The Origin is amazing. Did you get it too?

I did, it was delivered 5 days ago.

Still burning in, the Mundorf Silver/Gold CAPS can take a while to bed in apparently.

But the limited listening that I’ve done suggested a very, very good improvement over the Tempus PSU.

Amazing to hear! Exciting to know what level this will reach.

It’s now had 200 or so hours of bedding in now.

An amazing upgrade and (in the scheme of things for most people on this forum anyway) a great value PSU considering the upgrade it’s given me.

I’ve spent more for less on some hifi upgrades in the past….

In a nut shell, it’s just tightened my music up, considerably…

Bass is tighter and more defined, the soundstage is more defined and has gotten a touch bigger in all directions, a touch more resolution and at the same time a bit “calmer sounding” but not smooth.

It just seems more dynamic but not in your face dynamic.

In a previous life I had a full NAIM system and attended many NAIM dealer events and I know first hand what a well designed PSU upgrade brings to a system.

This reminds me of that, bigger, better and more dynamic / faster sound with a better PSU (well two, Origin on the Tempus and the spare Tempus PSU on my router) in the chain.

Sure not a night / day difference, but it’s a noticeable and very welcome upgrade.
