I am testing out this Aries Cerat Ithaka minor 2 chassis behemoth of a DAC but cannot get Oladra to recognize the USB input of the Aries. Can anyone provide some insights ? Thanks.
Confirm the classic that the cable is plugged into the correct USB output and input, and that the cable is correctly seated. And the DAC is set to USB input.
Try rebooting the Aries Cerat with the OLADRA ON.
Is it a new USB cable or known good?
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the quick reply. USB cable is good. Tried it on my Lampizator. I will try the method u suggested to reboot the Aries with the USB inserted. I did check to ensure the USB cable is plugged into the right slot as I have made the mistake with the RJ45 & USB while connecting to the Lampizator prior.
Never had an issue with USB between my Ithaka and Oladra nor any other AC dac I’ve had here. Aries Cerat dacs all currently use the same USB interface…I reckon the cable is the issue. Perhaps find another cable, even just a $2 cable to see if anything changes. Audiophile USB can be finicky as they do not necessarily adhere to the USB standard.
