Hi Mark.
If the electricity company turns off the power while I’m listening, will I cause problems for the oladra? When the power comes back on, it turns back on and works, but I wanted to know if I should do anything in these cases. Thanks.

Hi there Nick, as with any computing product instant power loss is not ideal.
This is why we use server-grade SSDs for OS and recommend them as storage SSD as they have power loss protection.
There isnt much that can be done after the fact, a reboot should be enough.
Thank’s for your answer Mark.

I have an APC battery backup which gives me 30 minutes of battery power so that I can safely log off.
Many of us care so much about power supplies, power cables, mains quality, etc. How would an uninterrupted power supply affect sound quality?
I have avoided use of one due to my suspicion that a
UPS would degrade sound quality. Many years ago there was a thread on a forum somewhere about this and it was reported that these devices tend to be a source of noise and it was advised to keep them far from sensitive audio gear.
Ultimately though I think each person considering one of these would have to use their own ears to determine if the protection a UPS brings is worth the negative impact it might cause to sound quality.
I don’t normally like using inverters or similar. I don’t know if this would affect the sound. Since the power supply is switching, it might work.
