Reinstall Squeeze server

K30 running AMSv4.4.0 and experiencing very, very intermittent short duration (probably less than one second) skips. Have done the “restart”, “clear database” functions. Have also done the “restart” on the player dashboard. Have also tried numerous power done/resets. Problem still exits.

Not sure if the issue is only related to upsampled 768kHz/32bit upsample/reconstructed files (PGGB)

Next thought was to try “reinstall” Squeeze function from the server dashboard, but a little hesitant to proceed - concerned about not being able to reconstitute my library.

Any thoughts, comments, directives greatly appreciated

Is it with Squeeze player only or you get the sane with Roon (auto) or MPD ?
What USB cable are you using? Try a different usb cable, better a non audiophile and USB 2.0 spec

I use only Squeeze/Squeeze. Problem seems to be primarily with my PGGB files which have been upsampled to 768kHz/32 bit. Configuration involves K30 > Ridge Street Audio Poeima USB > Gustard U18 DDC > I2S out (Tubulus Argentus) > Gustard R26 DAC. U-18 is externally clocked by Gustard C18 10Mhz. Tried a Belden Gold USB - problem still evident. Trouble is that the slight stutter is of short duration and very intermittent - maybe once in 25 songs.

I’m wondering if if has something to do with the C-3P0 transcoder which needs to be engaged for the player in order to process the PGGB files. C-3PO has so many preference settings - hard to know which is correct.

Is it true that the latest version of Antipodes OS does not require the use of C-3PO in order to play these types of files?

If AMS 5.0 or greater is running on your K30, you should disable C-3PO as Antipodes made it so it’s no longer needed. If it’s an earlier version of AMS, book a support session to have it upgraded.

Did you notice any difference to the sound when you added the Gustard external clock C18 to the U18?
