Reset required every time

Every time I go to use my Core Roon is searching for my server with no luck. Then I go to Antipodes website under setup and scan for my server with no luck. I have followed the instructions to reset my network by shutting down the Core, Modem/Router, and switch then restart after 1 minute and then a rescan for server on My Antipodes and everything is good again. Next day same drill. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Which device do you use to access your Antipodes server? Have you tried a second device just to rule out the issue being with your device?

I have been using my Windows 11 laptop and my Android tablet.

I think we can rule out it being an issue with those devices.

Next time it happens, disconnect the Ethernet cable from your Antipodes, count to five, then reinsert it. Just spit balling here but I just want to rule out the network being the cause.

I tried that but still no luck.

My gut still tells me that it’s network related, but that’s mostly because I can’t conceive of a mechanism that could cause the server to repeatedly lose its mind in this fashion. To rule out the server, consider setting up and support call and request a reinstall of AMS. Or maybe Antipodes has seen this before and can provide recommendations.

Sounds like a network issue, possibly switch, What is the network setup?

Modem/Router>switch>Antipodes

Yeah, what’s the switch? Have you tried it without the switch? Have you tried just rebooting the switch, trying to narrow down where the issue occurs?

Plugged Ethernet cable directly into port on modem/router. Antipodes not found.

Did you reboot the Antipodes?
Is the remote computer also connected to the modem/router via Ethernet cable?
This setup, with both units wired to the modem is the most basic setup and rules out all network issues.

Do I have to register or create an account for anydesk?

No, there is a big Download Now in the middle of the page, that requires no registration:

Same problem with two completely different Oladra systems.
Only conects once on rebooting with Roon within the first 30 seconds…problem, it my Samsung 9 + tablet.
If I close app and reopen the link gets broken and reboot required to work again.
Tried a factory reset of the tablet did not help and various settings.
All other tablets and phones worked correctly on both systems but not the S9+ for some reason ?

DKW has no server on the network.
Network issue.

Do you have two OLADRA with the same issue, if it is the Samsung 9+ Tablet only, then the issue lies there.
So that’s not being able to find your unit with SETUP or just a Roon problem.

Factory reset of tablet, did this completely uninstall all the apps and app info?

You can restart Roon Server from the Dashboard if required.

What do you mean by “close app”? Are you exiting it completely? Is that something you can do on the Samsung tablet?

Those impacted should consider checking the Roon forums to see if others are as well. They may have a workaround.

The tablet could be switching to another WiFi network automagically, could be corrupt app data base, there are a number of variables.

You need to go app info and hit Force Stop, also could clear the app cache while there.

What might help is a network scanning tool. If I encountered this I’d run Fing on my device and see if my Antipodes server is still being discovered at the same IP address.

Dear All,
Thank you for your help so I tried again and add the following

When I close the app I mean the Roon App on the Samsung Tablet.
The Tablet is not going to a different Wi-Fi network.

The Oladra is being found by the my Antipodes on the web browser so it’s connected to the network.

I fired up the Oladra and did all the Roon Updates.

No real change Tab 9+ only connects when the Roon server app is booting on the Oladra when switched on.

If I close the app on the Tab 9+ and reopen it will not connect initially “BUT” after I get the unable to find Roon it’s taking longer than usual and wait “6.5 Minutes” it connects. (just found out this phenonium, normally I give up but by accident left running, it may help with diagnostics?)

The Tab 9+ connects to my laptop running Roon Core if switched on within seconds on the same network.

Cache cleared and force stop did not work on the Tab 9+ Roon app.

There is an issue with the Tab9+ and Oladra (in my case two of them not connecting).

It seems they only open a link between between themselves on start up of after 6.5 minutes .
