Thanks Mark, Yes perhaps 6 months is too long. As a minimum I would like to give it at least one month.
Apart from my iphone auto updating it looks like I can still leave my CX core on 1.8 for the short term and control from my ipad. Thankfully the setting to automatically update the app was turned off on that!
Good to hear that there are no issues on antipodes servers reported so far.
I appreciate that some people like being early adapters on IT things. My personal preference is to have a music server that it is like an appliance that requires the absolute minimum of regular software maintenance.

Roon have released an update on the update 
As of 30/09/2024, Roon remote no longer works on my Android tablet to control my K50. Can anybody explain why?
No, have you rebooted the tablet, the K50 and your network? are you on the same network, there are so many variables.
When you say no longer works do you mean cannot find the K50?
Have you checked the AMS Dashboard is Roon set? Is the DAC found?
