I’m a new Antipodes user as I bought a second hand S40 and S60. I’d appreciate some advice on Upnp local and Tidal streaming.
Until now I used an Intel NUC device with HQplayer Embedded and Minimserver, streaming over the ethernet to Rockna WaveDream NET streamer with HQPlayer NAA running on it. HQPlayer was used only for DSP without any upsampling, streaming to HQP NAA on the NET streamer.
The control app used is Jplay on iphone/ipad. I’m streaming locally from Minimserver and also from Tidal.
My WaveDream NET streamer supports Upnp as well, so I’m now thinking about trying Squeeze or some other Upnp option on the S40.
I never used Squeeze, so I’m a bit lost at what are the options here.
My requirements are local and Tidal hires streaming to Upnp streamer with DSP/EQ, control devices are Apple IOS and Windows clients.
Can I setup something with squeeze or some other server/plugin combination? If I’m streaming over ethernet to an external Upnp streamer, do I need the Antipodes Playback application enabled or just the server application?
Any advice or recommendation would be appreciated. Thanks!
