Schrodinger issues with EX (server only) and DX intended as player only)

Hi.
I had an EX set up as player to DX as server.

Purchased a Lyngdorf, so took the DX out of the picture and set the EX as server to the Lyngdorf running Roon. So far, so good.

Today, I inserted the DX in another system to act as player only and…‘something’ has gone awry - suspect I set off a raft of conflicts.

I believe I may have mucked things up when I messed with the dashboard, not realising I hadn’t connected the DX to the network. (Too late I noticed I was altering “play” configurations that were assigned to the EX, not the DX).

Next moment of stupidity was killing the “dashboard” page. And, as they say, that was that.

Rebooted network etc

But the EX has semi disappeared from Roon. It’s apparently undetectable by Antipodes (not even informing me that no devices have been detected!)…Thing is, the EX still throws Roon into the Lyngdorf and an Opera Consonance player “through yonder”. The DX shows up in Roon as “Antipodes Audio D2” but label changes to “EX” if I enable it. (Same address shows).

If I could recover the dashboard with DX connected tot he network…pretty sure (might be being optimistic) I could sort it out. But since I can’t get any devices 'recognised" in ‘set up’…not even a “not found” type message…

You can download the My Antipodes Dashboard app from official app stores depending on your device:

Connect everything to the same switch including the remote computer, use the My Antipodes Dashbopard App to set up your devices

Downloaded “new” app. Devices detected. Sorted. Thank you.

Good to see the issue sorted for you jamsquirrel.
An app refresh often sorts things out for me.
On a different note, how have you found the Lyngdorf and what model is it?
I hear mainly good things about them but also the occasional gripe.
I’d love to hear one.

I’m thinking it’s bloody excellent (the 1120 baby of the range). And if you think that coming in, refurbished (batch of duff chips in displays meant ‘open box’), at under 3.5K it easily replaced a Kinki, (far higher current),a Pontus 12th and an Audio GD ddc + freed up one of the 2 Antipodes for another set-up…

All the good stuff has been stepped up - separation, layering, dynamics…

The “roomperfect” is quite something else for us non-sound engineer, (or any kind of an engineer) types btw ;-). As some commenters have mentioned (Darko?), it doesn’t mess with the signature of your speakers at all.

Honestly do not know why the Lyngdorf topology isn’t the industry standard for solid state given the possibilities it seems to open up and the issues it avoids - but maybe I’m missing something?

I might almost regret the lack of usb connection some day (ie, a better feed for CD transport) And I might want a couple of extra analogue outputs. The analogue outs on the 1120 mean either subs OR pre-amp - not both. (There’s always the bigger, more expensive models for such “needs”)
