Server IP found but cannot enable it

Dear All,

I have an S30/S40/S60 combo, Running Roon on The S40. Since today I cannot enable The S40 as Server anymore (Computer says no). The Dashboard Dosen‘t Show Any change and Roon doesn‘t Detect a Server. However, The S40 is detected including Ip address im The App. Nevertheless, nothing works anymore. I already Rebooted The System, including Cold Start, rooter etc. really anoying (including The autocorrection here).
Some advive or do I have to Book a Support Session
Kind regards
Jürgen

Hi, what works with me is that I assign this IP address again in my router/network. Your S40 should have a so called MAC address. Somewhere in the settings of your router you can assign fixed IP addresses. If you assign a IP address to this MAC address (you could use the known IP address, I’m pretty sure it will work.

Thanks Gert, I’ll give it a try. My Hifi Dealer will also have a look via remote Support.
Kind regards

Just a FYI, we don’t really recommend a fixed IP allocation in the router.
You may well be seeing a cached IP address. Can you access the router, is the S40 allocated an IP address in the router?

Dear Mark,
I haven’t looked in the Router settings, yet. But will have a look. Thanks you for your Support
Kind regards

Oké I understand this. However since quite some time my EX nor CX are found after a hard or soft restart. Only if I have fixed IP allocation they can be found on my local network. But I will give it another try. Can fix it if this is not working.

Dear All, I got excellent Support by cm-Audio. They ran a Linux Programm to reset some Settings at my devices. The issue may be The IP Format differes somewhat between New Zealand and Europe, as far as I understood. That may lead to some Synchronisation issues.
