A very basic guide to setting up PLEX Server on an Antipodes Audio music server, this will enable you to have access to your music library while in the car or travelling, you can even give someone else access to your music.
Start with enabling PLEX on your server, Manage Apps select PLEX
Open PLEX from the AMS Dashboard link, can help that you have already been to PLEX website and setup your account, but can do so from the following screens
Sign into PLEX
Setup your server, click next
Add a library
Select MUSIC
Browse for your files on your server
Located in STORAGE
Located in Storage/Music
Add your music folder
Check and click NEXT
Your library has been added in this case PARKERserver
Library will scan in
Wait for scanning to finish, this can take quite some time, patience is required
Activity indicated by spinning icon
Confirm you have remote access, my router was configured auto-magically (IP’s hidden :))
Click the Spanner at the top, and then Settings/Remote Access
Download and install PLEXAMP from Google Play or Apple App Store, log in with the same credentials you used to create your PLEX account.
