An exciting development for my use case for pggb playback of pcm files. You may have heard hqplayer v6 has a upnp stack. I usually use jplay or roon through hqplayer (bp) for playback. Right away I thought it would be great to add squeeze server to that so all my software could playback to the same endpoint. I loaded up the upnp bridge plugin in lms/lyrion. Unfortunately everything over 384k was converted to 44.1. On a whim I took a chance and approached the author Philippe44. Although it was never asked for before he was willing to give it a go. After many changes and log exchanges it works. He is not happy with the workaround and has proposed a change to lyrion which has been accepted. Now it may be expectation bias but as with squeezelite direct I feel it sounds better than roon and equal to jplay.
Re: Antipodes… the proposed core change will only be for future versions so I hope Antipodes is able to provide an upgrade path soon.
