MPD+Squeeze controlled with the Jplay app sounds great with AMSv5. I find it more engaging and overall more enjoyable than Roon+Squeeze, although i think Jplay is still a few versions away from being the polished user experience it needs to be to finally get me off roon. Would be interesting to hear any other opinions of this new solution.
And in case anyone misses it as i almost did - make sure to click the settings cog for MPD in ams5 to change the SQ settings for tidal and qobuz to lossless FLAC, which both seem to be set to low res aac by default.
