When I do a shutdown on my K30 the amber led never stops blinking. The K30 appears to be shutdown as you cannot ping it. After a suitable wait I then power it down with the switch on the back. After the amber led fades out I can power it on and use the front button to do a startup. Prince and I went through several scenarios and he thought that there may be a loose connection of an associated cable. I opened it up and everything is tight. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I may book a session and request a reinstall of AMS just in case.
Hi! I’m having the same problem with my K30.
Is yours a G4 upgrade? Not sure if this is relevant. Mine is.
Same with my S40 after 5.0.1 update. After a reboot I also have an issue getting to the web interface. After about 30min. or so it becomes inaccessible but still works as my Roon core.
Yes, it’s a G4 upgrade.
There are a couple of reasons why the front light won’t switch off…
1/ Software issue, or more accurately, a network communication issue.
2/ Physical hardware fault affecting the front button logic board.
If you are experiencing an issue, please book a support session with Prince to check the software.
This issue doesn’t affect the performance of the unit from playing music but is annoying and not working as designed.
Please book a support session with the support team to check your unit.
Sorry, what I meant to say is that access to the web interface only lasts about 30 minutes from turn on or after a reboot. I leave it on 24/7 so I have to reboot the S40 to be able to get its web interface. The 40 plays fine during the lack of access.
Thx
Sounds like a web interface issue, given that the server is still reachable on the network.
Connect via Ethernet to the same switch the S40 is on, and still experience the issue?
Check your network. Do you have a Mesh system? Ensure there aren’t a couple of DHCP servers active. Check that your DNS is set to Google or Cloudflare.
