Still possible to upgrade K30 to G4?

Hello,

I am new to Antipodes and have an offer for either a used K30 or a new K21 for roughly the same price.
So I have now two scenarios:
K30 → G4 Upgrade
K21 → G4 Upgrade → + K41

As my library is small and I don’t plan to use DSD upsampling the K30 sounds like not a bad deal.
But the dealer advised me to contact you guys directly to make sure the G4 Upgrade is still available for the K30 at the moment. So, is it? :grin:

One additional question: Is the player part in a K30 G4 basically identical to a K21 G4?

Hi there, the G4 Upgrade Program finished back in September 2024. We are not performing upgrades at this time. As always, there will be new upgrade programs in the future, no ETA at this time.

There have been changes over time to boards, not a huge difference in performance TBH.

Out of your two scenarios, the K21+K41 will give better overall performance as this matches that of a K50; the K30 will not match a K21+K41 combo.
