The importance of power phase

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share that I recently sold the Ansuz X power cable plugged into my CX and replaced it with a “normal” power cable while waiting for my next Ansuz.

That really degraded the sound more than the gain I remembered and one night I woke up in sweat asking myself if the phase could be inverted… and it was! Fixing that issue improved audibly but of course not to the Ansuz level.

My EX and the rest of the system was in phase.

To your multimeters everyone

What I remember from the old analogue days is that the right phase means the lowest voltage between the case and earth. The concerning device has to be disconnected from everything except power when measuring.
When all devices are connected this way, the least current will flow through ground from one to another device.
