The K50 freezes
I created a room correction curve with REW and inserted it into ROON, and I processed some DSD512 files with PGGB. Once the files are launched, Roon blocks transmission after a while, warning that the hardware is unable to process the files.
I don’t understand one thing: does PGGB convert files to DSD512 on a PC? Then you take these DSD512s and give them to play to Roon, who has to apply the REW correction?
Any correction cannot be applied to DSD without first being converted to PCM !! So Roon has to convert, apply the correction, and reconvert… It doesn’t seem like a great idea to me!!
In my opinion, the REW fix should be applied by PGGB!!
Or you give Roon the original file in PCM and tell him to apply the REW correction and then exit in DSD512 (note that just converting to DSD512 requires a lot of power!), but this does not need PGGB…

The upscaling algorithm is what sets PGGB apart. Roon’s algorithm can’t match it.
