Do you think we are going to see a software upgrade for the K50 beyond 5.0.0?

Hi there, there are a number of threads on software.
Antipodes Audio is working diligently behind the scenes on new software.
This has been an ongoing project for quite some time.
We do not have an ETA for release at this point in time.
Considering that most of us are on 5.0.1, the answer has been yes for quite some time ![]()
Then I must be doing something wrong. When in myantipodes, I click on upgrade but it tells me Ive already installed 5.0.0.
My unit is the G4 version.
Does that make a difference?

Had this issue too and I missed that you have to book a support session to get it updated manually. They were fantastic on support and it did not take long. Prince took care of everything ![]()
Yes, I suppose an email to all owners might have been prudent regarding updates, instead of assuming all check this forum periodically.
For sure Prince is rather clever with all the computer stuff. ![]()
It would be helpful as well if Antipodes would be able to pin some messages to the top of the forum. While I still suspect that some will ignore them, it would give the rest of us an easy target to refer them back to.
Iām thinking that there might be 2-3 pinned posts
- Automatic updates are disabled presently.
- How to book a support session
- 3rd party CD tagging service is temporarily offline
The third one would only be displayed when that service is down, obviously. I would hope that displaying that might help, but it seems that when it goes down new posts get created even when there are recent posts reporting the same thing. It would be interesting to see if pinning a note at the top would keep that from happening. FYI @MarkCole
A bit off topic, but what is the current software version for the K40?

Hi , I also would like to upgrade my k50 (G4) to 5.0.1 from 5.0.0
I would like to know when I book a support session for this upgrade . Do I need to stay at home during the whole update process ? Or only leave the k50 turn on and I do not need to stay at home ? Please advice . Thank you
I just had mine upgraded. You do need to allow them access to your laptop (using Anydesk) and your laptop needs to be near the K50. Once you grant permission, you dont need to hang out while they complete the upgrade.

I believe the answer is yes. The laptop needs to be on the same network as the k50.
I could be wrong. Others may respond who have more information.
Also for me the laptop must be in the same network, but is better ask to Mark.

No the update is not through the USB connection . Just make sure what ever the Anydesk software is installed on it can get access to your Antipodes on the network. The laptop does not have to be near the K50.

Once upgraded, there was a glitch with minimserver, but Prince fixed it.
