Good evening, I have a CX server, and I have just purchased a K50…Can I take the SSD installed on the CX and install it on the K50 without any problems?
Always ensure you have a full back up of your music files prior to removing a drive.
Linux uses a storage pool, it’s possible it may work, however depends on the previous storage pool that was on the K50.

In my experience the liklihood of it working when you swop to your K50 is not good. The only time it worked for me is when I swapped to an identical model. I was unable to do a straight swop over between my CX and my Oladra.
I had to map my music library to my computer drive. Copy the library a computer drive, move the ssd to my new machine. Format the drive in the new machine so it is recognised in the new machine and then copy the backed up contents to your new machine. It’s a faff and takes awhile, but works.
If this is all a bit daunting you can book a remote support session taking into consideration the time difference you will likely be burning the midnight oil.
Hopefully the new software when it arrives will overcome this. Also hopefully you swop over the ssd to the K50 and it is reognised.
