USB cable for Oladra to DCS Vivaldi

Hi,

My first post (I think). New owner of an Oladra. Need recommendation for a longish USB cable probably at least 2.0m or 2.5m from the Oladra to the upsampler of a DCS Vivialdi upsampler. Help ?

That’s quite a stack you have there.
Im sure there will be people popping in with their recommendations.
At Antipodes Audio, we use Jorma and Ikigai USB for our top-end systems.

Very nice very nice. I did end my search with the Ansuz USB D -TC Supreme. This is 2 meter but you can get it longer…

You might look at the Network Acoustics Muon2 range - very favorably reviewed and very well built. Sounds amazing to my ears I have one between my K50 and MScaler. I am also an Oladra owner. I am curious why would you want to connect your Oladra to an upsampler?

Most DACs perform upsampling internally. Only exception is those that are NOS DACs. Upsampling requires a CPU that can calculate new samples. There can be advantages to having this in a separate box, especially when the DAC is specifically designed to take advantage of this.

What is your experience with the Ansuz usb d tc supreme?
I also like to know if the usb d tc3 supreme is clearly better or not?
I have good results with the usb d tc supreme in combination with the Ansuz d tc3 supreme Powerswitch.

Hello, i use the Ansuz Dtc Supreme with the powerswitch D3 and the goldlink to connect the K50 G4 with my former Denafrips Tplus. After the G4 update (Usb), i switched from Ansuz AES D2 to Usb with specular results. Now the same results with the Aries Cerat Helene. I did not try the D3 version because there is no need for it. Didn’t hear it in another setup. This is one of the cleanest Usb setups you can get so i wonder if the D3 can overrule this by a great margin… only way is to try…
