How to tell a 1st Gen (G2) K50 from a 2nd Gen (G3) K50

The easiest way to determine the series of K50 is to look at the Re-Clocker… The first series (G2) has I2S over HDMI only, as below: [first K50] The second series (G3) has I2S over both HDMI and RJ45, as below: This is the current re-clocker on the OLADRA, K50 and K22 (G4) [secondK50]

if so, do I have any interest in upgrading to G4 or G5?
(I only use SPDIF or AES output)

The G4 upgrade brought a significant sound quality improvement to the K50. I posted about it so you should be able to find my posts using search.

The G4 upgrade is no longer available, but G5 will be coming. You should keep an eye out for it.
