Glad you will be getting it back. We invest a lot of hard earned money in this hobby and it is very frustrating when equipment fails. Enjoy!
Hi,
After a smoothly upgrade of my K50 to AMS 3.1 today, the HQPlayer (v.4.27.2) doesnât work at all. I could manage to setup the HQPlayer zone into Roon, but there is no playback at all! I also tried to play HQPlayer directly from its desktop application (it sees my library), but nothing happened. Needless to say that I have restarted the servers several times, but with no success!
Much appreciate your help!
Please post a screenshot of the HQPlayer configuration page.
I have solved out the issue - I have switched the default PCM filter 1x âpoly-sinc-ext2â with âpoly-sinc-lpâ and everything is okay now.

Glad your dealer has managed to update your machine .
Do you have it safely home?
Many thanks to all in at Antipodes. Have upgraded my EX from 2.7 and my CX from AMS3.0 and both are now with AMS3.1 and they are sounding better than ever.
All the work that you guys constantly do to keep us sounding great at home is much appreciated. Just awesome.
Hi Mark, many thanks for helping me and my dealer (OHM Audio) for updating the K50 Player section. All is running perfectly now and much and much faster .
Cheers Robert
Upgraded to latest AMSv3.11 this morning. I wasnât expecting to see another software update quite yet, but all went nice & smoothly. Whether itâs purely down to the updated Squeezelite Version: 1.9.9.1386 player or other factors , my K50 is sounding even better than before.
No upgrade action here as yet. Anyone else?
I just had the prompt for 3.11 in the same way as the 3.1 update & when I looked at the separate dashboards (K50). However, exactly when the code/prompt arrived I couldnât say because I havenât actually had any reason to look at either dashboard for a number of days. The player is left on 24/7 though, so Iâd assume itâs an overnight thing again.
@Chilli whereabouts are you on the world? Just wondering when your upgrade can have been pushed to you?
Hi Nick, Iâm based in the U.K. It came as a total surprise to me when I went to the dashboard.
@Chilli They say patience is a virtue but Iâm not so sure!!
@NickBacon Got it here in Canada. Use my antipodes to access your dashboard and then select server for the prompt. Required roon restore and hqplayer configuration. It may have fixed lms for pggb files without 3cpo. Let us know your findings.
Thanks for the information. What do you mean by Roon restore? Does 3.11 erase the ROON database? If this is the case I should allow at least two hours to download the database. So I hope that the updates will not be too frequent.
Yes, I had to do a restore from my roon backup. Luckily I do it every 2 days and to a local ssd. The restore only takes a couple minutes.
It did show up for me on my K50, and I am in the US. The update went oddly though. I have a VPN on and need to shut it down to see the Dashboard or enter the individual website addresses for each, which I have saved in Favorites in my Safari browser. I believe I opened up Player first, and there was a prompt to update, which I selected. It went through extensive package downloads and updates. I eventually received the prompt to Restart, which I did. In opening Roon, it did not detect Core and selected the change Core option and selected Antipodes. I had to furnish music location folder again, which for me is Storage, Music, Flac. I then needed to name D2 and my Lumin X1 again. Roon then populated my music.
I opened up server dashboard web address and it showed AMSv3.11. However, when I opened player dashboard web address it showed AMSv3.1 and showed update option. Puzzled, I selected Update again. It did appear to stall on a Plex package giving error 32. It continued to try and I walked away for a bit and when I came back , there was Complete and Restart prompt, which I did.
Starting Roon, it asked for Audiozone, but only showed the Lumin X1, not Antipodes D2 nor my Mola-Mola Roon Ready. I restarted Antipodes again, but Roon still only showed Lumin X1. I restarted Roon via the Server Dashboard and still no change. I then did a backup restore from Roonâmy last backup was on November 30, so was pretty current. That seemed to rectify the problem with Antipodes D2 showing, Lumin X1 showing, and Makua Roon Ready showing. Player Dashboard is now reflecting AMSv3.11 and music is playing.
If you have Roon, I suggest you do a backup prior to this update, just in case.
The K50 server & player sections are two separate computers within the same casework, hence why you needed to update each computer independently of the other. See the link relating to the earlier 3.1 updates. AMSv3.1 Upgrade - Antipodes Audio
